Salt analytics is a special focus area for the department for physico-chemical analytics. The accreditation of all our analytical methods for salt and brine according to DIN EN ISO 17025 stands out and is a special feature within a worldwide perspective. Due to the history of the company we have substancial experience in this field.

Mineral analytics - Salts, Rocks, Industrial Products, Wastes

Mineral analytics supplements and expands the physico-chemical and geologic analysing methods, besides this it is an independent working field.
While in the past exclusively mineralogical tasks concerning salts from oceanic deposits and their products that occur during industrial processing were worked on, since 1992 a continuous expansion towards other types of salt, rocks and industrial products has been taking place.

We can offer many years of experience and expert knowledge in:

  • the qualitative mineral analysis of salts, rocks, industrial products and wastes
  • the quantitative mineral analysis of salts, rocks industrial products and wastes on bases of chemical analysis or through independent mineralogical analysis methods
  • the examination of external properties of salts and other minerals like grain shape, grain structure, intergrowth, agglomeration etc.

To solve the challenge you have given us we use modern analysing methods like qualitative and quantitative X-ray diffractometry (XRD) as well as X-ray fluorescence (XRF), which we often combine with classical methods like polarisation, phase contrast and stereo microscopy.


Environmental and gas analytics

Environmental analytics offered by us includes mainly examination of water, soil, air and gas.
According to DIN EN ISO 17025 the laboratory is accredited for the sampling of waste water as well as the analysis of waste water, surface water, raw water and ground water. The accreditation is also valid for the assessment of soil and bio waste.

The laboratory of K-UTEC AG is an authorised centre for the analysis of waste water according to § 8 ThürAbwEKVO verified by governmental organisations. On top of this we are authorised according to DüVO (fertiliser regulation) and AbfKlärV (sewage sludge regulation) to inspect soil and sewage sludge.

The offered coverage of gas analysis includes air and mine air as well as exhaust gases, combustion gases and process gases of various sources.

Gas analytics - mining, engines, interior air

Gas analytics in the department of physico-chemical analytics comprises the fields of mining, engine control and interior air. The spectrum of examinations reaches from the measurement of simple gases like CO, CO2 and NOx in air and mine air to the measurement of complex mixtures of organic pollutants in interior air.

For solving these complex analytical tasks modern analysing equipment, suitable methods for sample preparation and non-destructive analysis are available, for example gas chromatography in connection with mass spectrometry and various other detectors (WLD, FID or ECD). Waste analytics - declarations, recycling, residual products

Our laboratory is a qualified contact partner for you when evaluation and assessment of waste to be dumped, landfill assessment, special waste for back fills or an analysis for declaration is your concern.
The laboratory of K-UTEC AG is an authorised examination centre for self controlled waste disposal according to § 3 Abs. 1 of the Thüringer Deponieeigenkontrollverordnung (Thuringian self controlled waste regulation) verified by governmental organisations. On top of this we are authorised in accordance to the DüVO (fertiliser regulation) and AbfKlärV (sewage sludge regulation) to inspect soil and sewage sludge.
For years we have been accredited in the professional module waste.
