Sonar exploration

Applications:

  • Determination of the seam thickness (thickness of protective layers in mining)
  • Location of small size objects
  • Differentiation of thin layers
  • Detection of faults, cracks and dislocations

Principle of measurement:

Example:

Example of the sonar and georadar data interpretation of a complex in a salt mine. The blue reflectors could be identified with georadar, the green ones with sonar. The geophysical analysis was calibrated through data from a bore hole.
