Location description:

The headquarters of K-UTEC is located in Sondershausen, the district of Kyffhäuserkreis in the north of Thuringia. The city of Sondershausen is located in the middle of the Kali-Südharz district, about 60 kilometres north of the Thuringian state capital Erfurt with the Erfurt-Weimar airport or about 140 kilometres west of the central German airport Leipzig-Halle. Frankfurt am Main airport is about 275 kilometres away.

Arrival by car:

Sondershausen can be reached by car from Erfurt via the federal road B4 in the direction of Nordhausen.

From the A 38 motorway between Leipzig and Göttingen, Sondershausen can be reached 15 kilometres from the Nordhausen-Süd exit via the B4 federal road.  From Eisenach you can also reach Sondershausen via the B249 federal road.

From the bypass (B4) take the Sondershausen exit in the direction of the city centre. In the following roundabout, the third exit leads onto Erfurter Straße in the direction of Zentrum. After a good 500 metres turn left from the CLASSIC petrol station and follow the signs for K-UTEC or Kaliforschung. Immediately after the railway crossing you will reach the premises of K-UTEC Am Petersenschacht 7 in 99706 Sondershausen.

Arrival by train:

The town of Sondershausen is located on the Erfurt - Nordhausen railway line and can be reached from the north or south every hour during the day. Sondershausen station is within sight of K-UTEC.
